How is a printed leotard made?
When gymnasts choose a new leotard today, they find an enormous selection of styles, fabrics, and colors online. In addition to classic velvet or shiny leotards, they increasingly come across leotards with sparkling patterns and intricate graphic prints. These leotards often resemble swimwear, because instead of sewn-on fabric appliqués and contrasting fabrics, the designs are printed directly onto the fabric rather than sewn onto the garment. But how exactly is a printed leotard created?

Being nominated for the German national team of female artistic gymnasts is a very special milestone in the career of a young gymnast. Three Bavarian athletes have now achieved this feat. Both at national championships and in the national squad, Luna Bartl (11), Loane Thum (10), and Lenya Walter (12) impressed. With the call-up of these three top gymnasts by national coach Claudia Schunk, a total of eight BTV athletes are now proud members of the 2020 national squad. Did their new leotards give their performance an extra boost?
