Care Instructions
How do I wash my leotard correctly?
To ensure you enjoy your ERVY item for a long time, please follow these care instructions:
- Always wash the item after every training session and competition. Under no circumstances should a used or potentially sweaty item be left unwashed for an extended period.
- Under no circumstances should it be washed by hand.
- Turn the item inside out and wash it separately in the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F).
- If possible, use the short wash (quick wash) function.
- For items with rhinestones and/or sequins: always wash the item in a laundry bag
- Use liquid color detergent without optical brighteners and without fabric softener.
- Do not use sports detergent.
- Be sure to avoid overusing detergent.
- Spin at the maximum speed: at least 1000 revolutions per minute (RPM).
- Under no circumstances should the item be left damp in the washing machine; remove it immediately after washing and hang it on a hanger to finish drying.
- Do not iron under any circumstances.
ERVY® Sports Fashion GmbH accepts no liability for improper handling of materials and color combinations. Always follow the above ERVY® washing and care instructions for every item.
Important Instructions for Items Made from Coated Materials (Patent Fabrics, Glitter Fabrics, Sequined & Hologram Fabrics).
- Coated materials (e.g., patent fabrics, glitter fabrics, sequined and hologram finishes) are particularly sensitive to friction, sweat, deodorant, perfume, and chemical substances from detergents and body lotions (creams).
- The shine effect of coated fabrics may fade after multiple washes. Therefore, we cannot accept any liability for the durability of material coatings or the retention of their shine.
- We would like to point out that foil abrasion (e.g., under the armpits, in the crotch area, etc.) can occur.
- Damage to the foil is particularly increased if the leotards are not washed immediately after wearing and are left sweaty for several days. Wearing a leotard twice without washing it can also negatively affect the durability of the fabric’s patent coating.
- Wearing other garments (especially pants) over the leotard is also not recommended, as the waistband and seams of the pants can cause foil abrasion.
Important Notes for Sportswear with Strong Color Contrasts.
- Since you choose your individual color and fabric combinations with us, it’s important to know that strong color contrasts (e.g., combining light/white fabrics with colored or neon fabrics) are more sensitive than tone-on-tone or darker fabric combinations.
- Since some colored fabrics can bleed during washing, items with strong color contrasts must be spun at a minimum of 1000 revolutions per minute (RPM).
- To prevent color transfer from the colored sections onto the light or white sections, the item must not be left in the washing machine.
- For your own testing purposes, wash samples of the desired fabric combinations can be ordered in advance. Please contact us for this via our contact form..
